Join us for an amazing challenging but oh so rewarding hike up to Harties Cableway!

Hike a beautiful part of the Magalies Mountain Range, the approx 2.5 km trail takes you right to the top of the mountain, next to the Harties Cableway where you will enjoy stunning views of Harties and the dam! The hike to the top of the mountain will quickly turn into a day of enjoyment away from the pressures of city life. On top, you feel as if you are in another world, and there is plenty to enjoy in this small paradise.

There is a self service express restaurant at the top of the cableway where you can buy light meals to enjoy on the terrace or at one of the viewing decks. You may also want to sip on a cocktail at the bar while admiring the view from the terrace. Note: The restaurant / express shop and bar is a cashless establishment.

Trail is rough and a rocky path not recommended for those who do not hike often. NB! Shoes with grip compulsory!

Cost: Guided Hike Up and Cableway Ride Down - R 395-00

3 x Batches to avoid bottlenecks on the trail

Registration: from 7am

Hike Briefing: 10 min before your start time

Hike Start Times : 8am / 8.45am / 9.30am

Look for the banners and gazebo.

NB! COVID-19 Rules:

Maintain at least 2 meters between hikers.

Wear a face mask or buff. No physical contact.

By buying a ticket you accept you indemnify Start Hiking Today and the EVENT LEADERS against any claim which you or your family or our VENUE OWNERS may have in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury, death, medical or hospital expenses, or any other liability of any nature whatsoever which may be caused by or arise out of the activities of the Club, irrespective of whether such accident, damage, expenses or other losses or injury is caused by negligence or any act or omission on the part of members of the Club. You further agree to abide by the Constitution as well as the Rules and Regulations of the Start Hiking Today.
