You can use 'helpachild' as the discount code to qualify for the tickets. **** World Hoop Day is a charity event hosted by hooping communities across the globe with one main goal – 'To change the world one hoop at a time, one child at a time' In this technological day and age, play is undervalued and limited by the convenience of 'couch activities'. Hooping is a great way to tackle this issue because quite simply it is fun, convenient and affordable. Hooping challenges the mind as well as the body resulting in improved fitness, increased focus and concentration and improved self-confidence. Hoops have been keeping children and adults entertained for decades and in the USA hooping has given 'at risk' children an opportunity to pick themselves up, stay off the streets and away from the temptations of drugs, alcohol and other harmful habits. Hoop for Life is an entity of Arise and Hoop that is aimed at bringing the benefits of hooping to our children as well as to adults. Through World Hoop Day Cape Town we hope to donate a minimum of 500 hoops to underprivileged children in the Philippi area through the South African Education and Environment Project (SAEP). Ticket sales will buy a hoop for an underprivileged child and the remaining money will be donated to SAEP to support their ARTS outreach programme. Arise and Hoop is so excited to be hosting this event along with The City of Cape Town.
