Suikerbossie: Hiking Parking under the Gum Trees
ABOUT
It’s that time of the year when the granite hills and sandy flats transform into a kaleidoscope of floral colour and for this spectacle we’ll be heading back to the West Coast National Park to hike the Steenbok Trail – undoubtedly the flagship Spring Flower Hike in the Western Cape!
Postberg is open to visitors between August and September when this section of the park becomes carpeted in splendid colour - dominated by the daisies, of course! Looking closely will reveal amazing species diversity including tiny orchids, striking irises, glistening vygies, delicate viooltjies and a whole host of other wonderful wildflowers. This guided hike aims to catch the flowers in the later middle stage of the season. Let’s hope for a lovely sunny day!
