ABOUT
A scene set in the 1920s,Karin Kortje plays the role of Betty at a Cabaret show
The story takes place in a Cape Town jazz club. The owner Mama( played by Zeldene McDonald), a character of note with years of experience and the mother figure to all the youngsters in her Coop. The story focuses on Betty (played by Karin Kortje), a country girl Jazz singer who comes to the big city to follow her dreams. This is her story. A young Betty starts her career, fascinated with all Cape Town has to offer and quickly gets swept up in all the glitz and glamour. She learns a few hard lessons in life when it comes to love. Meanwhile life happens and through her struggles the world around her changes, but Betty ……who has now changed her name to Kitty….remains optimistic about love, life and all that Jazz
