The Tryst
ABOUT
IT'S TIME PEOPLE!
After two years of COVID madness, normality is returning, and thank God for that! And so it's time for us to host the first ever edition of "TrystFest", a festival for the everyday South African that loves having a good time. In other words, should you make the wise decision to join us on the day, you will be joining a bunch of lekker South Africans, you will be entertained by some epic local comedians and live bands from start to finish, and you will be spend the day enjoying local beers, wine, gin, prosecco, and a selection of tasty treats from local food vendors!
TELL ME MORE...
First of all, you're going to have the best time. Also, all the products on sale at TrystFest will be produced by local, small businesses. And we are really excited about this!
Mad Giant (a small craft brewery in Newtown) will be selling their beer, Hudson Craft (small gin distillery in Durban) will be providing the gin, and Nalu Wines (small producer in Cape Town) will be providing the wine. We will also be working with local food vendors that will sell their food on the day. Everyone wins here!
Ultimately, we want to give people a great social experience while also using local brands, and everyone has the best time!
WHO IS PERFORMING ON THE DAY?
Right now, we are in the process of confirming a full day of acts and they will all be announced in the next day. That said we can officially announce:
- Schalk Bezuidenhout needs no introduction and he will be sure to make you laugh off your seat!
- Gilli Apter is red hot after her appearance on Netflix!
- Shanray Van Wyk is our final comedian before the bands come on. You may recognise him as the OUTsurance Life guy.
- 4am is a lively rock and blues band that gets the party started!
- BadWolf Duo are simply bad ass and will be delighting your senses alongside 4am!
- And finally, Lungelo Moyo is a one-man band who will be closing off for us!
THE BOTTOM LINE IS...
If you're feeling like it's time to get out of the house, you're keen to mingle with other amazing South Africans, laugh until your belly is sore, jive the night away to a host of incredible local bands, and enjoy some revelry (google that word) with a beer, glass of wine, or gin in hand, then TrystFest is for you! The added bonus is that a bunch of quality small businesses are supported in the process!
