ABOUT

The Blues Ministers

We aim at cutting through co-called Jazz music using, extensive African influence from throughout the continent. We play mainly improvised and experimental music, however, within the jazz and Blues idiom. We are story tellers, healers, spiritual pilots, perhaps even Griots for lack of a perfect word.

This particular project seeks to bring back the Blues. The Blues that kept us going through oppression, The Blues that keep healing us even through this modern era. Blues that keep us grounded. The same Blues we use to celebrate and to mourn. To worship and adore.

Thus what we offer is beyond Music performance, but education and healing too. For ourselves and recipients of the Blues magic..
