Quentin at Oakhurst Farm
ABOUT
Join us for an inspiring and entertaining evening with Erica Terblanche, accomplished ultra-endurance athlete, adventure racer and author of the Exclusive Books Top Recommends listed book: Run for the Love of Life.
Erica has won some of the most iconic and gruelling multi-day Ultra Endurance Races across the world, including the 7-day Sahara Desert Ultra Marathon among many others.
In her 5-year Adventure Race career, she experienced the most extraordinary adventures while running, cycling, canyoneering, river rafting, sea kayaking, and rappelling in some of the wildest landscapes in the world often with less than an hour of sleep a day for races that spanned five days.
When the going gets tough, Erica blossoms. No challenge is big enough. So what makes her different from the rest of the pack? Or is the truth more likely that there is something of the hardcore endurance junkie in all of us?
Erica will host an inspiring and entertaining evening for all adventure and nature enthusiasts. She will share a few crazy stories and some counterintuitive wisdom harvested from the furthest edges of endurance.
Her talk will be accompanied by a slideshow and a set three-course dinner at Quentin’s, the fabulous Oakhurst barn restaurant in Hout Bay.
