ABOUT
Sungardens Hospice offers specialized palliative care to patients with progressive, far advanced, incurable diseases.
The idea of a fun run family event originated from the need to celebrate life, and draw attention to embracing a healthy life style.
This event also serves to inform the public about the services and benefits of palliative care and to draw awareness to life threatening diseases, such as Cancer, HIV and Aids, Neurological illnesses and other end stage organ failures.
Hospice also renders bereavement services, and this event offers the opportunity to those who would like to run/walk in memory of a loved one, or in support of somebody who is living with a life threatening illness. Participants may express their love and support in any manner for example, a named T-shirt/cap, or a banner.
The name "My 100 for Hospice" means that every participant will be contributing R100 in aid of a very good cause, supporting those living with life threatening illnesses.
