Spookhill is a section of Parel Valley Road in Somerset West, where, if you switch your car off it appears to run up the hill instead of moving downhill. It has generated much discussion as to whether this apparent phenomenon is an optical illusion due to magnetism, or just one of the world's great unsolved mysteries!
This is a #CarryMyOwn race and is plastic-free. You need to provide your own water bottle or reusable cup to refill at our Water stations on route.
Government guidelines and Covid-19 Protocols will be observed
Start & Finish at Beaumont Primary School, Somerset West
Collection of online entries at your selected Timbuild location will be on Friday 17 June 2022 from 08h00 - 17h00. Any entries not collected will be available on race day for pick-up.

- Medals to all finishers within 2 hour 30 Minutes cut-off time
- Time Limit: 2 Hours 30 Min
- Cost: R110
- Temporary license fee: R50

5km Road Race
Start Time: 08:15
- Medals to all finishers within 2 hour cut-off time
- Children under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult
- Participants must display Fun Run entry cards at finish to receive medals
- Cost: R30

The race is organised by Helderberg Harriers in accordance with the rules of WA, ASA and WPA. All participants must comply with the rules, regulations and instructions given by officials, marshals and traffic officials. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification. The race organiser reserves the right to accept / reject any entry received.
Entry Fees are not refundable.
