The Durban City Orchestra, South Africa's oldest orchestra (founded 1888) proudly presents a concert of Classical and Romantic music at St Thomas Church, Musgrave Road, Durban at 15h00 on Sunday 12th June 2022.
The program includes the Beethoven Overture Coriolan, the very beautiful Ballade for Flute and Orchestra by Carl Reinecke featuring the orchestra's Principal Flautist Tony Hind as the soloist, plus the little performed or known Dvorak' Czech Suite.
The concert will be conducted by Charl Van Der Merwe, Principal Bassoonist of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and the DCO's newest conductor and the Concertmaster is Jitske Brien, a professional violinist and long time member of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.
Covid regulations place a limit on attendance of 150 persons, so be sure to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
