NG Kerk Franschhoek
ABOUT
The Cape Chamber Music Collective returns to Franschhoek to present one of the seminal works of chamber music, Oliver Messiaen's masterpiece Quatour pour la fin du temps (Quartet for the end of time), written while Messiaen was in German captivity in Görlitz, paired with a new counterpart work written just for this project by South African composer Grant McLachlan, the Quartet for the beginning of time. Completing the programme is the much-loved Intermezzo, op. 118 no. 2 Johannes Brahms, here masterfully arranged for this eclectic group of instruments by Grant McLachlan.
Franschhoek NG Kerk provides the perfect place to enjoy this chamber music in beautiful surroundings. Tickets include a complimentary glass of wine on arrival courtesy of our partners at Painted Wolf Wines.
