ABOUT
Join the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town on Saturday 13 August at 19h30 as we perform two majestic and beloved choral works: Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mozart’s Requiem.
Richard Cock will be conducting these beautifully contrasting works. From the joyful and uplifting Gloria – arguably Vivaldi’s most popular choral work – that rejoices in the significance of God’s incarnation in the figure of his Son, to the terrifyingly vivid images of judgment and mourning in Mozart’s iconic Requiem, these hopeful and triumphant works transport audiences through the soaring highs and dizzying lows of the human condition.
