We are going to swap out the rolling vineyards of the Swartland for seagulls and salty spray as we head Weskus way once again for this meeting of minds – and wine glasses.

Now in its second year, the event gives visitors a chance to sip on the Swartland’s finest wines whilst sampling true West Coast hospitality and delicious fare on the banks of the Berg River.

Ever enjoyed snoek & patat paired with a Swartland Chenin? Now’s your chance – with the Bester family of Velddrif’s Laaiplek Hotel back behind the braai and serving up delicious local seafood and meat dishes to pair with the Swartland region’s finest wines. Sip and savour against a backdrop of colourful fishing boats, bop to the beat of live music by Louis van Lill and take in the unfiltered atmosphere of this unique union!

·        A wine glass

·        3 meal vouchers to be presented at the food stations (2 x seafood food stations AND 1 x meat food station) to claim your tapas meals

·        Wine tasting is offered by +/- 15 different wine producers in the Swartland region

·        Live music from local artist Louis van Lill

Participating wineries include Kloovenburg, Schenkfontein, Org de Rac, FRAM, Nativo, Wightman & Son's, Swartland Winery, Riebeek Valley Wine Co, Allesverloren, Marras, Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards and Hofstraat Kelder.

Did you know that the Swartland Wine of Origin District includes parts of South Africa's beautiful Cape West Coast? The closest Swartland Wine of Origin vineyards are situated just north of Velddrif.

So, brave a bokkom, swirl a Cinsault and join in the fun as we experience the stories and wines of the Swartland in an iconic West Coast setting.
