?Keen to join one of SA's largest Heritage Day Braais?!
On 24 September, let’s celebrate our country’s rich heritage and enjoy its beauty with epic plant-based food, great gees, free kids' entertainment, and an awesome sea view.
We will provide the food and drinks, make the fires, braai the food - and wash all the dishes! All you need to do is bring your picnic blanket or camping chairs.
All guests will receive a Beyond Meat Breakfast Burger with Just Egg and Violife Cheese, plus their choice of Fry's Burger or boerie (Big Fry Burger, Chicken Burger, Schnitzel Burger etc.) or one from one of the other awesome sponsors like Urban Vegan, Meatless Farm. There will also be whole food plant-based burger options. Then there will be sides like mielies, and a choice of salads. Guests will also receive an OKJA Oat Milk (Regular, Coffee or Choc flavour) plus a second drink of their choice.
Please note there will be no tickets available on the day, and tickets are limited - please book your tickets on Quicket asap to avoid missing out. We already have over 300 people attending.
Guests can bring their own snacks/salads, as long it is all 100% vegan. Unfortunately, guests will not be able to braai their own food and there will not be a sharing table due to event permit restrictions. No alcohol may be brought into the venue.

DONATION INFORMATION:
ProVeg South Africa is a registered non-profit organisation working to move the South African food system away from traditional animal-based agriculture to a plant-based future. Our work is not possible without donations from those who believe that we can create a future where everyone eats delicious, healthy food that is good for all humans, animals and the planet.
Keeping our events accessible is important to the work we do, and despite great support from our sponsors, this event is going to cost us money, not make money due to the low ticket prices, and the free tickets given to those who otherwise could not afford to attend. If you can afford to pay a little extra, please consider making a donation on the tickets page of this event. For larger events please get in touch before donating so we can issue a S18a certificate ([email protected])
Braai Day is just one of the projects we are working on. Other projects include the Veggie Burger Ban Government Policy Work, Diet Change Not Climate Change, Environmental Film Festival, Veganuary, World Plant Milk Day, Meatless May, World Vegan Month, and many more.
