ABOUT

October is AAC Awareness Month and for those families whose spouse or child needs the use of AAC, we understand that the volume of information about this can be overwhelming. Therefore this September, Parent Reality is hosting a workshop on AAC to empower parents so they do not feel overwhelmed and will be empowered to understand the value of AAC during the upcoming awareness month. Come join us to learn:

  • What is AAC?
  • Why would my child or spouse use AAC?
  • What are the types of AAC?
  • What are the costs involved?
  • Myths and Facts about AAC.

If your child, spouse, or parent requires the use of aid for communication then this workshop is for you

Our speakers are:

Desirae Pillay (Special Needs Parent, AAC Consultant & Motivational Speaker & Blogger)

Sipho Sibanda (Assistive Technology Advisor, Masters Student & Former LSEN Teacher)

Finger Food and Drinks will be provided.

Please consider sponsoring mum who cannot afford this

Kindest Regards

Desirae & Johanni
