When revival swept through the English Colonies during the 1700s in what is known as the Second Great Awakening, Christians in their hunger and passionate pursuit of God were awakened to the truth that every human being was created equal, in the image of God. This triggered what later became the abolitionist movement which eventually put an end to the slave-trade. Throughout Church history, God has stirred up a great hunger in men and women during seemingly hopeless times, and the result has always been an outpouring of His Presence, of revival and societal transformation. Today we stand at the precipice of another sweeping spiritual outbreak. As God issues us an invitation, are we hungry enough to respond?

As His Church, we want to see a move of God in our day that breaks out in our communities, in our cities and in the nations of the earth. We are desperate for a revival move of God that will not only transform individuals and families, but usher in societal change and the restoration of entire nations. Such Great Awakenings happen when God responds to the spiritually hungry, and to sons and daughters who have prioritised the mandate ‘on earth as it is in Heaven’ above all else.

God is seeking to awaken each of us to the realm of His Spirit; to an uncompromising stance; to insatiable hunger, and to our God-given assignments. Just as Jesus said of Lazarus in John 11:11 - Lazarus is not dead…I have come to wake Him up - we believe He is saying the same to us. The Church is not dead! You are not dead! Your assignment is not dead! Wake up oh you sleeper!

We are privileged to be hosting two great Generals in the Kingdom who have been awakened to the Spirit of love and power residing within them. They are catalysts for both revival and reformation, and walk in a grace to awaken the Church to the supernatural life that Jesus intended for all of us to experience. A life of signs, wonders and the miraculous!

Surprise Sithole has been in ministry for over 30 years. At the age of fifteen, he was awakened in the middle of the night by the audible voice of God instructing him to leave his family and village. Since then, Surprise has followed wherever God has led, becoming an agent of hope and change in a continent devastated by war, poverty, and spiritual oppression. In 1997, God connected him with Heidi and Rolland Baker of Iris Ministries. Surprise serves as the International Director of Pastors for Iris. He helps oversee the rapidly spreading revival in southern Africa which has witnessed close to 7,000 new churches being birthed since 2000. Currently based in Nelspruit, South Africa, Surprise and his wife Tryphina are the founders of Iris Revival Church. They have three sons.

Grace Kabuye, is a Ugandan pastor, farmer, father and husband. He is the founder of My People Ministries and Senior Pastor of My People Worship Center Church in Entebbe as well as director of My People Educational Institutions. In 2006 he left a career in teaching mathematics and physics to become a full-time minister of the gospel. Grace moves in powerful demonstrations of signs, wonders and miracles, himself having been raised from the dead! He oversees more than 50 churches in Uganda and is a spiritual father to hundreds of pastors. Grace and his wife Ritah are parents to three daughters.

Arthur Wallis, who has authored several books on revival, made the comment that when the voice of the Lord awakens the church, the voice of the church will awaken the Lord…and the power of God will manifest in the hearts of sinners.  Our hope for this conference is for you to experience the wooing of God that will awaken your spirit to pursue a life of uncompromising faith, and victorious overcoming. When the Church is fully awake, revival will be unstoppable.
