A family friendly mini-fest on the Tulbagh mountainside, with a diverse range of live music performances, relaxed vibes and tree planting.
The first edition of our new annual TREE OF LIFE mini-festivals is just around the corner! Here at HUMBLE ROOTS HOMESTEAD, where we continue our dream to host intimate inclusive creative gatherings focused on the love and reverence of life, where we strive to live and to celebrate in a way that brings us closer to our authentic humanity with our feet firmly planted in the soil.
With only 150 tickets available, a small percentage of the ticket price will go toward beautiful indigenous trees that we will be planting together at Humble Roots on the Sunday morning of the festival weekend.... to increase our little biome of beauty and to give thanks for a wonderful world.
Friday 10th: Come camp out and enjoy fireside chats, bring your braai goodies, settle into the countryside space with some chilled down-tempo vibes, DJ SANDY G - melodic progressive tech house; and the dancehall duo YAGGA FLAMES.
Saturday 11th: A fun-filled day packed with live bands, including TRIBAL NEED all the way from Italy, SONS OF SELASSIE – legendary icons of the South African reggae scene, COLORFIELDS Four Directions Sonic Adventure, THE HUGO VELDSMAN TRIO lap steel guitar brilliance, SUNNY SKIES afro-groovers... DJ duo THE LION & THE HONEYBEE... Laser Light painting show by LUME.... Yoga with NELLA HUMMINGBIRD and delectable cuisine by THE KELP SHACK.
Sunday 12th: After a relaxed morning we will be planting indigenous trees in the Homestead festival camping area with some ambient exciting beats in the background... and a few surprises.
Swings and zipline at the dam, great fun for the whole family!
Gate opens 12h00 on Friday, closes at 00h00 on Friday night and reopens at 08h00 on Saturday morning.
