ABOUT

The Cape Consort returns to the Cape Town concert scene with an exciting venture into Contemporary and Romantic choral music. Antoinette Huyssen will conduct an 8-voice professional ensemble in a program of mostly a cappella choral music by award-winning local composer, Hans Huyssen as well as well-loved works by Felix Mendelssohn and Josef Rheinberger. Also featured on the program is Mendelssohn’s third organ sonata performed by Johan Swanepoel, and the St. Martini church choir will make a small musical contribution.

The distinguished line-up of singers for this concert comprises: Jodie Khan, Marina Pienaar (sopranos); Danielle Speckman, Vasti Zeeman-Knoessen (mezzo-sopranos); Levi Alexander, Jason Atherton (tenors); Keaton Manwaring, Johan Swanepoel (basses.)
