South Africa’s indie duo Crosscurrent started out on the local, Cape Town music scene in 2016. Consisting of lead singer/songwriter and producer, David Franke, his muso brother Owen Franke on vocals, keys, trumpet and drums.

Their warm melodies and lyrical songs have detailed composition and capture the unique diversity of their musical influences.

Their repertoire consists of originally crafted melodies that embrace an explorative journey of their own musical experiences. Not guided by contemporary or mainstream genre’s, they continue to pursue a unique sound.

With their authentic and captivatingly energetic live performances, the band has become well known on the local music scene. From Rocking the Daisies to Up the Creek, to the most popular Cape Town clubs, they continue to shape their music with their unique Indie flavour. Playing on the stages of some of South Africa’s biggest live music festivals, they have made great inroads into the greater South African music scene.

Lukin Joshua

Lukin Joshua is a Blouberg, Cape Town-based indie-folk solo singer-songwriter, loop artist, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. Lukin is known best for his ability to entertain crowds all over the country through the magic of looping different sounds and instruments over each other. Whether you're a canoe on a pond kind've person or a full on adrenaline junkie, he's sure to get you moving.
