ABOUT

The purpose of the event is to raise funds for Ilitha Labantu Dorothy Zihlangu Transitional House (Shelter) for abused women and their children. 

Through the Transitional House the organization offers women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence immediate and safe accommodation for a period of three months, psychosocial services and various forms of support to regain their self-worth. We believe the safe space is there for women to transition from being a victim to a survivor. Statistics show that many women in South Africa will end up going back to their abuser seven times before she finally takes a decision to leave. The cycle of abuse is a constant therefore through the supportive structure of the transitional house we hope that with the offered skills programs and psychosocial support we able to assist women to take necessary steps and decision in order for them to become the best versions of themselves.  

With influential guest speakers and a host of entertainment that shall be available throughout the day and an oppurtunity to network and have a delicious meal.
