Join us for the next Cape Town Squad Movie Night at the Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel on October 16th at 6h30pm once more in collaboration with Photo Hire. This time we will be showing top Scifi & Fashion Short-films followed by filmmaker Q/A's so we can learn more about the creation of these films. Not one to miss if you are a fan of thought provoking sci-fi and DUST.
Films to be shown include:
Apocalypse Now Now (DUST) (Directed by Michael Matthews)
Snarky, monster-porn-dealing teen, Baxter Zevcenko, might be a serial killer. His girlfriend, Esme, is missing, and he’s the prime suspect. To clear his name, he’ll turn to Cape Town’s grizzliest, drunkest bounty hunter, Jackson ‘Jackie’ Ronin. Little does he know that Ronin is a supernatural bounty-hunter, and that he’s about to be dragged headlong into a deep, dark Cape Town underbelly full of monsters and myth, shadowy government forces, bloodthirsty crow-men and a conspiracy across time and space. But just how stable is Baxter? With every chance that it’s all in his head, it’s up to this mismatched pair to prevent the Apocalypse - quick. Well, quick-ish.

This event is for actors, filmmakers and movie lovers and is organized by filmmakers Natasha Mayet and Jacques Adriaanse.
This is an evening of movies, meeting filmmakers and enjoying food & drink specials at Cape Town's legendary Grand Daddy Hotel. The screening will include an exclusive Q&A (Live and Virtual) with the filmmakers.
Event schedule:
Happy Hour, Mingling: 6:30pm-7:30pm
Screening to start at: 7:30pm-8:30pm
Q&A: 8:30pm -9:30pm
Ticket purchases include a complimentary popcorn and there will be lucky draw at the end of the night with prizes from Grand Daddy Hotel and other sponsors to be announced.
