ABOUT

UKUTYA SPRING HARVEST Cooking Workshop is an adult interactive cooking class using African indigenous ingredients.

With a special focus on bringing forth to the table our much-loved local ingredients that are locally sourced and wildly foraged.

If you want to learn a thing or more about Southern African ancestral diet and how you can include some of these loved ingredients as part of your daily consumption, do join us :)


What to expect:


Welcome drink by Khayelitsha Wines upon arrival

Canape snacks by UKUTYA


Together we will be making beautiful Spring harvest brunch using indigenous ingredients:

i.e., Sorghum for bread making

Stinging Nettle and Wild garlic for garden fresh salad

Bambara nuts and Kapenta for our take on Chakalaka

Homemade smoked Amasi cheese using fynbos and impepho


Together we feast!
