Steenbras River Mouth (Parking just beyond Pitstop Lodge)
ABOUT
A gorgeous river hike in the Steenbras Nature Reserve where we'll visit multiple magnificent rockpools for revitalizing swims surrounded by dramatic mountain scenes. Forming part of the magnificent Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve the trail winds up the Steenbras River and affords lovely views of Cape Point and across False Bay. The hike starts at the Steenbras River Bridge just outside Gordon's Bay along Clarence Drive (R44). Mostly riverine habitat is seen but we'll also pass through pretty mountain fynbos to reach the impressive top pool below Steenbras Dam.
