‘Tis the season to be jolly! On the 19th and 20th of December Folk Café is once again hosting Christmas Carol’s with the awesome, and much loved, Jenny and the Jameses! These fantastic musicians will lead the carols on their signature fiddles and reinvent what we have come to expect from an event such as this. What a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. There is guaranteed to be a lot of singing, plenty of foot stomping, much hand clapping and a great deal of smiling. This is a seated event and tickets are therefore limited. Last years tickets were all sold out in advance and this year promises to be the same so act fast to avoid disappointment! What's more is that Graham Beck will be coming on board this year to celebrate with us and everyone will receive a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival! (Over 18s only)
This is a family friendly event and in the spirit of Christmas and the celebration of family, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Living Hope Foundation. You are invited to bring along gifts for the children supported by this incredible foundation. Father Christmas has said he’ll pop in early for the little ones to take some photos with him and to kindly receive any donations for the less fortunate.
The party gets started from 5pm. Jenny and the Jameses will do their first set from 6pm, covering all the favourite festive tunes. They will then take a break and play a second set featuring their original songs. Folk Café will have delicious festive food and drinks specials available that can be ordered and enjoyed on the night. The carols are held in our beautiful outdoor garden next to the St. James tidal pool so you can listen to great music whilst you watch the waves crash on the beach and the moon rise over the ocean.
Tickets are R125 per person and can be purchased online via quicket. You will have the opportunity to make a further donation to The Living Hope Foundation from the Quicket page. As tickets are limited they are likely to sell out fast so book now and don’t miss out!
