ABOUT

The “uHadi Experience” is a revival of the ancient Xhosa bow musical instrument (uHadi) in collaboration with a reputable classical string ensemble consisting of Sisa Mgauli (Violin), Duane Star (Cello), Siyolise Nyondo (Double Bass), Marcus Motaung (Cello) and Lutho Mzongwana ( Djembe ). This collaboration aims to preserve the legacy of the Xhosa bow music in South Africa. Collaborating with widely-respected Western musical instruments restores the dignity & value of the uHadi Xhosa musical bow.
