END: opposite Chardonnay Deli, Kalk Bay THROUGH the ‘happy’ tunnel at Dalebrook Pool, turn right and follow the tunes to Dalebrook Beach!

Start at Chardonnay Deli, UITSIG, CONSTANTIA
Straight on Spaanschemat Rivier Rd
Continue on Orpen Rd
Stay straight at the roundabout
Exit the roundabout onto Steenberg Rd
Stay on Steenberg Rd at the roundabout after Jake’s in the Village
Continue straight on Steenberg Rd
Continue past the Norval Foundation, heading South on Steenberg Rd
Cross the road at before Westlake Robot (as per marshalls guidance) over field
WATER STATION 2: Westlake field (Chardonnay Deli fuelling and water station)
At the roundabout, take the first exit (turn left) onto Westlake Ave
Cross the road at the bottom of Westlake Avenue onto Boyes Drive (as per marshalls guidance)
WATER STATION 3: Boyes Drive
At the top of Boyes Drive, turn left down Jacob's Ladder, down the steps.
Cross St James Main Road (as per marshalls guidance)
Turn right on Main Road heading to Kalk Bay
600m later, arrive across the road from Chardonnay Deli, Kalk Bay
Turn left and go through the Happy tunnel
Turn right onto Dalebrook Beach

By participating in Deli2Sea, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks, including injury and illness.
Limitation of Liability:
Neither The Good Machine or Chardonnay Deli will be liable for any injury, health issues, or unforeseen circumstances incurred at any stage of the event.
Event Changes:
The organizers reserve the right to alter or cancel the event due to safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be issued.
Photography and Media:
Your participation implies consent for the use of photographs and videos taken during the event for promotional purposes.
Eligibility:
Must be in good health to participate.

INDEMNITY
Indemnity: the below is aknowledged and agreed on sign in on 3 December 2023
I declare, confirm and agree as follows:
I have read the Rules and Regulations and the Terms and Conditions and agree to participate on the understanding that I will adhere to all the provisions stated therein for the event entered.
I understand the risk of participating including risks associated with the risk of dehydration and the risk of being on a course with vehicle traffic, even if the course may be regulated/policed.
I understand that I must be of, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in the event.
I am physically fit and capable of participating in the Event and I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical practitioner.
I, for myself and my legal representatives, waive all claims of whatsoever nature against any and all sponsors of the event, Deli2Sea Ocean Awareness Event, all political entities, authorities and officials, all contractors and construction firms working on the event, officials and volunteers and all other persons and entities associated with the event and the directors, employees, agents and representatives of all or any of the aforementioned including, without limitation, any claims that light result from my participation in the event and whether on account of illness, injury, death or otherwise.
If I am injured or taken ill or otherwise suffer any detriment whatsoever, I hereby irrevocably authorise the event organisers and officials to transport me to a medical facility and/ or to administer emergency medical treatment and I waive all claims that might result from such transport and/or treatment or delay or deficiency therein. I shall repay or reimburse any of my medical and emergency expenses and I hereby authorise you to incur the same. I shall provide to race officials such medical data relating to me as they may request.
I agree that nothing herein shall oblige the event officials or organisers or any other person to incur any expenses or to provide any transport or treatment.
I understand that by agreeing to these terms and conditions, I consent to the use of my personal data including contact information, motion pictures, recordings or any other records of this event (“information”) for any legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising, marketing of products offered by the Organiser and those offered by sponsors to the Deli2Ocean Awareness Event. I understand that there may be a need to disclose the information to the Organisers affiliate companies, agents, advisors and third-party services (“Other Parties”). Information shall be released to the parties on condition that the other parties handle my information only subject to the organiser's instructions.
If I have under my care or control children below 18 years of age participating in the Event, then I shall ensure that they are accompanied at all times by a responsible adult and understand that the terms and conditions and the clauses of the indemnity apply to such children. The parents or guardians will take full responsibility and liability for the minors participating in the event.
I hereby declare that the information provided on my race number is true and correct.
By participating in the Deli2Sea Ocean Awareness Event on 3 December 2023, I agree and confirm that I accept all terms and conditions, waiver policy, and indemnify all organisers involved.
SAFETY
- Deli2Sea vibers will be moving along a designated path and on pavements with marshalls and signs set out accordingly, all as per city safety requirements
- Roads are not closed off for Deli2Sea
- Where there are road crossings, there are well-marked areas and marshals to ensure safety
- Deli2Sea complies with all the necessary safety regulations set by the City of Cape Town, including a comprehensive security and medical plan
- Participants acknowledge and indemnify themselves when purchasing the event ticket (there is a tab outlined with this - as well as at start of the event), outlining their responsibilities and understanding of the event's nature
- Walk, run, wiggle with a buddy, if you are coming alone - befriend a buddy!
- Enter at your own risk
- Route marshalls, ambulance and security will be present and on high alert on the day, for your safety
- Sweepers will be in route with Deli2Sea branded vehicles

- Ticket purchases are non - refundable
- All participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations and comply with all reasonable directions and decisions made by the parties involved in organising this event.
- Entrants are required to check all information on their DIY race numbers.
- Please include important medical information, pre-existing conditions, allergies and chronic medication, as well as emergency numbers and names thereof.

Deli2Sea and its host partners, The Good Machine and Chardonnay, cannot be held liable for any damage, theft, or loss of any kind whatsoever. We will not absorb any shortages, breakages, or damages to any equipment during the course of the event.
