Neil Sandilands performs with guest artists Albert Frost & Schalk Joubert under the stars at Café Felix in Riebeek-Kasteel. Enjoy a select menu from 6 - 8pm with cash bar, show starts 8:30pm.

Renowned for his beloved character Bart from 7de Laan and the various roles he has played over the past 34 years, including amongst others the TV Series' Orion and very popular Desert Rose, Neil has started touring his musical performance in the Western Cape this season. The show presents an assortment of soon to be released songs from the new album he is recording with Theo Crous at Bellville Studios, alongside those from Die Groot 5 - EP, Die Groot Niks TV Series which he hosted and his SAMA (Beste Kontemporêre Musiek Album 2022) nominated debut album Sangoma Sandilands & Jou Pa se Posse - Maanskyn, as featured on Desert Rose. The album also leaped to Number 1 on iTunes South Africa’s charts within 24 hours. Sandilands recently arrived back from shooting Disney's new Planet of the Apes movie in Sydney and the second season of Netflix's acclaimed TV series Sweet Tooth, produced by Warner Brothers Television, DC Entertainment and Team Downey in New Zealand so is eager to get the show out to his local audiences.

The performance plays out musically as a poetic unfolding of storytelling in his native tongue, Afrikaans - a little bit of protest, self-deprecating humour and irony woven into a left of centre delivery with his ukulele and guitar. In its acoustic form it is truly engaging and mesmerising, having received a fantastic review from Die Burger's Arts Editor, Laetitia Pople and played to standing ovations at Die Boer Restaurant Teater, the Blohmhuis Theatre and The Alma Cafe. For this repertoire he will be joined joined by acclaimed guest artists Schalk Joubert on bass and Albert Frost on electric guitar.
