The industry programme is a key component of any festival in that it facilitates conversations, discussions and engagements across a myriad of topics and issues affecting the industry and promotes growth, development and mutual respect and understanding. The Joburg Film Festival boasts a rich industry programme comprising of a series of Masterclasses and Panel Discussions presented and facilitated by established industry and subject matter experts. Because filmmakers live and work in a dynamic world that is constantly growing, with knowledge sharing a vital part of that dynamism, the Joburg Film Festival wants to be at the forefront of that key component that allows for growth by creating a platform that allows for access to discussion and debate on key trends in filmmaking. It is for this reason that the festival hosts these complimentary discussions, and conversations with thought leaders. The programme will run from Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 February 2023 with over 30 sessions that are designed to engage, inspire attendees and connect peers on pertinent issues
