THE RENNAISANCE CONCERT

ABOUT

The renaissance concert, is a choral concert put together by Afrikariz taking place at the Morris Isaacson Centre for Music, the concert is aimed at celebrating our South African heritage together with The Wits CEM choir.

Through the years, it is safe to say that after the retirement of initiatives such the Old mutual Choir festival, the singing culture seems to be dying in our communities and we believe that this is not the best thing for our nations cultural heritage, hence this event and the choir at large.

This concert is our very first step in reviving the vibrance of choral singing /Choral music in the country, we believe that music has played a huge part in the shaping of our country, music in south Africa is not just a song but it carries our identity, our heritage and our past, hence we find it very important that we preserve it for the future heirs of our land.
