The Enchantment -Sound Healing Concert

Experience the voices of the voice, the sounds within the sound at this meditative healing concert featuring international artists, co-directors and founders of the International Association of Sound Therapy, Michele Averard and Nestor Kornblum. Acclaimed gong master Yin Xiong will also join the duo as a special guest.

Through the union of male and female- yin and yang, a concert will be created that touches heart, mind, soul and body with the vibrational transmission of healing intention, unconditional love and joy. Nestor and Michele will perform sacred chants and overtone singing in western and Oriental styles, accompanied by monochord, tampura and a variety of sacred and ancestral instruments. A powerful sonic energy field will be generated for the purpose of self-healing - restoring balance on the physical and etheric levels and resonating in harmony with natural proportions. All their instruments are rich in overtones, including voice, chant, mantra, overtone flute, didgeridoo, overtone mouthbow and Tibetan singing bowls. There will be opportunity for audience participation.

Nestor Kornblum and Michele Averard were responsible for establishing Sound Therapy in South Africa in the late'90s. Nestor is South Africa's very own pioneer in overtone singing, the technique that enables a singer to sing two sounds at the same time. Together, Michele and Nestor have created 14 CD's of therapeutic music. They have appeared on South African television and radio, newspapers and magazines several times. They are currently based in Alicante, Spain, where they teach at their beautful holistic centre, The Dome Centre.
