New York-based Jann Klose is set to perform at CAFÉ ROUX for the first time on Thursday 30 March as part of his ‘Surrender’ South African Tour. A storyteller and phenomenal live performer, Jann Klose brings his stellar live show to Cape Town.
Born in Germany and spending part of his youth in SA, Jann continues to have close ties to South Africa and he released his 6th studio album ‘In Tandem’ in 2018 with the album produced and recorded in South Africa. ‘In Tandem’ included a stellar list of local guest artists with RJ Benjamin as producer, songwriting contributions from James Stewart (The Usual), Ziyon (Liquideep), Karen Zoid (who also features on the song she co-wrote), and a collab feature from Tamara Dey. Jann spent time in SA early 2018 recording the album in partnership with the Academy of Sound Engineering, in addition to lending his time and supporting the work of Desmond Tutu’s TutuDesk foundation.
His recent singles "Sugar My," "Flesh and Blood," "Love You the Most," and "Pilot Light" have accumulated over 5 million streams across all platforms and charted on Top 40 radio in the US and South Africa. His 7th Studio abum ‘Surrender’ is due for release in March and Jann will be touring SA in support of the release.
