iQHAWE MAGAZINE celebrates and represents Africa’s creative heroes
iqhawe is a Nguni word that means “hero”.
A word that offers the notion or understanding of a hero
as someone who is celebrated, represented, and elevated.
Our 13th magazine issue is set around exploring forests as metaphors of infinite possibilities and ideas and a setting where creativity and exploration are encouraged. Through storytelling and visual curation we present 17 fine artists, digital artists, photographers and filmmakers and 4 fashion designers in our direct physical and digital community who participate in the dynamic and ever-changing environment of their respective industry in Johannesburg South Africa.
We are excited to announce that we are selling our FIRST ever LIMITED EDITION print. To celebrate this milestone, we will be hosting a launch event where our community can expect an exhibition, a sonic experience curated by @mamthug and an opportunity to purchase our limited edition print...be ready to swipe.
