ABOUT
The digital generation are those growing up connected to the world around them through smartphones, tablets, computers and the internet. This generation is going online at younger ages – which means that parents, teachers and leaders who work with them have to get involved in their digital lives much sooner. When it comes to technology we have an important role to play in helping our kids safely navigate online spaces. We need to understand both the opportunities and the threats that exist for this generation digitally. The exposure to all this information and the influence it has results in a generation that struggles to connect relationally and has emotional regulation limitations. They have a different understanding, thought process and approach to the world that impacts their relationships and learning experiences.
The Digital Generation Conference & Workshop and guest speaker, Nadine Blom aims to inform and equip parents, teachers and leaders who work with youth with the right tools to navigate and connect with this generation in this digital age. This generation is being exposed to information and challenges that previous generations never had growing up and therefore it is vital to understand their world to protect, guide, teach and discipline them more effectively.
Topics to be discussed:
- Connection, the human brain & discipline.
- Down the rabbit hole of the Digital Wormhole: Social media, Apps & Online interaction.
- Trauma, Cyber Trauma & helping a traumatized youth.

- Personal experiences and stories from our community.
Do not miss out on this enriching opportunity to reconnect with the digital generation.
