Sunday Lunch With Mbuso Khoza at Breezeblock

ABOUT

Mbuso Khoza is an award winning vocalist and songwriter with a rich, authentic sound. A rare musical talent that rose from the rolling hills of Eshowe in Kwa-Zulu Natal and made sure to take the World Music circuit by storm.

He is the founder of the Mbuso Khoza Institute for Culture, an NPC that safeguards intangible and tangible heritage. Amongst the major projects that it has successfully curated is the battle of Isandlwana Lecture and Amahubo symposium in partnership with the Wits School of Art. This year they are focusing on the construction of a physical home for the institute to live. The aim of this fundraiser Musical Experience is to keep the Institute operational without relying on funding, but rather on their talents, to achieve the goal of building a space for the institute.

This is the second instalment of The Sunday Lunch series at Breezeblock Cafe in Brixton. Breezeblock is a not so ordinary neighbourhood cafe that hosts a variety of programming and events outside its usual daily operations. The Sunday Lunch series is aimed at offering well curated, bespoke and unique musical experiences while you enjoy great drinks and a hearty Sunday Meal with a modern interpretation. 

This month, the gifted and culturally rich Mbuso Khoza will be gracing us with his presence. A show you do not want to miss!
