hi ladies and gents!

This time we will be exploring a more remote part of the Kzn North Coast. We are going to Blythedale.....

We will be meeting at Grumpy's Beach Bar (main parking lot), walk throught the venue and head south. Hike all the way to Jex Estate where we will have a break and some snacks on the rocks before we head back north & finish at Grumpys where we will stay for drinks or lunch (cash bar).

This is an easy hike (suitable for beginners and kids as well).

Dogs are welcome too.

Time: 7.45 for 8am

Place: Grumpy's Beach Bar Parking lot (Whatsapp for location)

Distance: appr. 9km (there and back)

Grading:

Casual Hiker: Grade 2

regular Hiker: Grade 1

Duration: 2-3 hours

Cost: R100pp

What to bring:

snacks, water or cold drinks, a cap, sunglasses plus a backpack to carry all that.

Walking shoes/takkies (you can also do the walk barefoot as its beach all the way).

Directions from Durban/Ballito: Take the Kwadukuza/Blythedale offramp on the N2 North. turn right at the stop street, over the highway, follow the main road towards Blythedale Beach. in about 500 meters, you will see the Grumpy's (also Blythedale Coastal Estate) signs on your left (in the middle of the sugarcane field) turn off the main road, turn right in front of the old container and follow the dirt road through the plantation (about 3km, the road has signs all the way so you cant get lost).

We will be meeting in the parking lot outside Grumpy's Beach bar's entrance.

Look out for our banner in the parking lot.
