The One Who Sings introducing The Feminine Force

Former lead singer of globally critically acclaimed pan-African supergroup "Freshlyground"... Zolani Mahola is The One Who Sings. She brings to the Selective Live stage her new band The Feminine Force, which is made up of a roving band of all femme players including multi-instrumentalist and scholar of traditional African music Sky Dladla, Cal Thompson on bass guitar, Chante Phillips on drums, Ntombe Halam on percussion and Genevieve Lee on acoustic guitar.

The entire band sings! The music is at once NEW and old, drawing from Xhosa folk music and rhythms to the melodious ring of Gaelic folk music. Think acoustic guitars, banjos and ighubu!
