Let's Get Local: The Big Band Brawl 2023

ABOUT

Join us for the live final of Let's Get Local Best Band of Cape Town 2023, where the Top 3 bands will battle it out for the title of the Best Band of Cape Town.

This is your chance to see Face Jackson, LUUKHANYO & The Hii ROLLERS, and Murray. perform live on stage at District, in front of a panel of expert judges:

• Louise Crouse (Does publicity and management for Angie oeh, Fokofpolisiekar, Francois van Coke, Jack Parow and Tasché)
• Josh O'Bree (Founder of Foul Play)
• James Browning (Let's Get Local journalist and photographer)

The night will be divided into two rounds:

ROUND 1: 

Each band will perform 3 songs. The judges will then eliminate one band. The two remaining bands will advance to the final round.

ROUND 2 (FINAL):

The remaining two bands will perform 2 songs each. The judges will then deliberate and announce the winner.

PRIZE:

• The title of Let's Get Local Best Band of Cape Town 2023
• A R5 000 cash prize
• A 4-hour studio session with Concept Records (including equipment and engineer)
• A professional photoshoot for the band
• 4 x 3-hour rehearsal sessions from Soundcast Studios (to be redeemed within a certain length of time), valued at R1 800.
