We are delighted to have you join us as we “CELEBRATE A LEGEND” of our lifetime, the recent recipient of the top Presidential Award , the Order of Baobab in Gold, Professor Ephraim Thibedi Mokgokong, a humble son of Makotopong in Limpopo Province, the former Vice Chancellor of the Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA), now re-established as Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU).

Prof ET Mokgokong, popularly known as “BOSS”, has received many other awards, for his stellar contribution to Health Education and Training, the development of a National Healthcare workforce for South Africa and the entire South African Development Community (SADC). His proteges now lead various institutions and departments across the country and the world. His footprint traverse multiple continents through his products.

BOSS wrote the script for Female Reproductive Health, creating access to Healthcare and specialised Obstetric and Gynaecological Services to communities across SA with further focused projects that benefitted rural communities of Limpopo and Gauteng Provinces through outreach projects, benefitting the poorest. This he instilled most succinctly in all his products who today carry the healthcare system on their broad shoulders.
