Chromatic Marimba player Bongani Sotshononda is a central figure in the South African live music landscape. He is revered for rebranding the indigenous sound of the marimba into music genres such as South African jazz, funk, blues E.T.C. This unique approach to his playing has been one of the main catalyst to his recognition, tours, collaboration and numerous studio recording within and beyond the shore of the African continent. In addition to Bongani's mastery of the Chromatic Marimba which he effortlessly displays on stage, he also goes the extra mile in promoting the idea of music being a powerful tool for spreading positive messages and creating deep connections. This evenings performance is an opportunity to witness this musical elder and mentor to many, we encourage our faithful followers to spread the word and come out and celebrate our very own maestro.
