Join us for the MakeReign X Pizza Shed fundraiser event on the 9th of July in support of the Animal Rescue Organisation (ARO)! Let's come together to make a difference and help ARO recover from a devastating burglary.
About ARO
ARO's primary focus is on providing welfare veterinary hospital services to animals in need. While they are not a pet shelter, ARO concentrates their efforts on essential areas such as sterilisation and primary health care. Through their ARO Mobile Clinics, registered and experienced Animal Welfare Assistants (AWAs) are deployed to impoverished communities and informal settlements, including areas like Gugulethu, Nyanga, Delft, Browns Farm, and other underserved regions within the wider Cape Metropole.
In addition to the mobile clinics, ARO operates a fully equipped welfare hospital in Ottery. This facility extends vital welfare services to individuals and families earning less than R20,000 in gross monthly household income. By providing accessible veterinary care to those who would otherwise struggle to afford it, ARO aims to improve the well-being of both animals and their human caregivers.
