EMBO ETHONGWENI A Sonic exploration and Sound journey co- led by Mntana.WeXhwele, Iman, Keketso Bolofo and Kim Masala.
Embo Ethongweni speaks of the duality of existence within the physical dimension ‘Embo’ and within the spi-ritual dimension ‘Ethongweni’. Embo Ethongweni is therefore interested in journeying into the idea of rooting oneself in space and time, through sonic vibration, to the foundations of our existence. Whilst simultaneously using sonic vibrations to connect to the eternal nature of the spiritual plane in African Cosmology and Islamic spirituality. This sound exploration uses a blend of African /Eastern indigenous instrumentation, musicology, and knowledge - whilst also exploring the electronic escene of afro – indie, afro-folk, world, classical African and African-Asian fusion.
