1vs1 rugby is a new and exciting sport that is gaining popularity in South Africa.
The game is played on a small field, with two players competing against each other in a one-on-one battle that emphasizes individual skills, strategy, and quick decision-making. The objective is to score tries or prevent the opponent from scoring, and a successful tackle or defensive stop is worth one point.
1vs1 rugby offers an exciting and unique way for players to develop their rugby skills and compete in a fast-paced and challenging sport.
The weight classes for the 1vs1 Rugby Series are to ensure that the competition is fair and accessible to players of all sizes and abilities. With six different weight classes, senior players will have the opportunity to compete against others who are at a similar level, which will create a more exciting and engaging competition ensuring that all players have the opportunity to participate and showcase their skills.
- Flyweight (70 Kg)
- Lightweight (80 Kg)
- Welterweight (90 Kg)
- Middleweight (100 Kg)
- Light Heavyweight (110 Kg)
- Heavyweight (+ 111 Kg)
And the youth (Under 18s) will compete in 2 Classes:
