ABOUT
A musical glamour clown extravaganza!
Pichi Keane is an international drag queen with a stellar singing voice, a penchant for the comedic, and an unwavering sense of enthusiasm.
Pichi presents 'Ripe 'n Ready' - an award-winning musical glamour clown extravaganza. The show is an hourlong heady mix of pop songs with a cabaret twist, served with a side of raunchy comedy and finished off with a touch of tease that’s sure to leave you begging for more. Pichi performed this solo show for the first time on South African soil earlier this year at the National Arts Festival, where they scooped up a Silver Standard Bank Ovation Award and stole audiences' hearts. 'Ripe 'n Ready' is for the queer, kinky and curious among us and is sure to have you clutching your sides if you have a wicked sense of humour. No under 18s as this production includes strong language, sexual themes and a purple merkin.
Pichi Keane is a singing queen with a voice as big as her heart. Fresh, funny and flirty, Pichi will charm the pants off of anyone she meets - with consent, of course! One part bubbles, two part peach, is it a Bellini mixed wrong, or is it Pichi Keane?
Pichi recently made waves at the National Arts Festival with her first solo drag cabaret 'Ripe 'n Ready', taking home a sexy Silver Standard Bank Ovation Award and selling out shows along the Garden Route. Pichi Keane first started performing in drag while living in Hong Kong and their most notable performances while abroad were with the official Hong Kong Pride Party 2021, Drag Discovery Channel and FEM - all hosted at the premier queer venue in Hong Kong, the Lambda Lounge. She also collaborated with her drag sister Trash Queen Doris to co-produce Get Trash’d - a variety drinking game show - as well as working with one of Hong Kong’s funniest femmes, Francesca Ayala, to present Big Bad Bingo Bonanza at The Aftermath, Sex Ed: An Uncensored Trivia and more. A trained vocalist with experience in musical theatre, jazz, pop and rock, she also established her band 'Pichi Keane & the Swing Machine' - a project featuring some of Hong Kong’s most sought-after musicians. Originally from South Africa, Pichi is keen to savour the sunshine and sample the fresh produce of her home country once again!
