ABOUT
It’s that time of the year when the granite hills and sandy flats transform into a kaleidoscope of floral colour and for this spectacle we’ll be heading back to the West Coast National Park to hike the Steenbok Trail – undoubtedly the flagship Spring Flower Hike in the Western Cape!
Postberg is open to visitors between August and September when this section of the park becomes carpeted in splendid colour - dominated by the daisies, of course! Looking closely will reveal amazing species diversity including tiny orchids, striking irises, glistening vygies, delicate viooltjies and a whole host of other wonderful wildflowers. This guided hike aims to catch the flowers in the middle of the season. We will interpret the ecology of the area throughout the trail. Let’s hope for a lovely sunny day!
