Playing with Fire is a collective that provides a Klezmer band and a Balkan Gypsy Band among
others for functions. Sparkling guest vocalist Caely-Jo Levy and these two different bands (led by Matthew Reid) are set to transport you to Eastern Europe with Yiddish and Romani songs.
Guest vocalist Caely-Jo Levy is a performing artist, represented by Limited Edition for her acting. She teaches workshops in musical theatre and free movement. As a freelance choreographer, she has choreographed for Mango Groove, Jack Parrow, Springbok Nude Girls, Prime Circle and PH PHAT. Caely-Jo is currently focusing on conserving Yiddish music (she founded the band Yid Dish and has just completed a Yiddish language course at the YIVO institute in New York.) Caely-Jo is also a qualified Tour Guide for the Western Cape.
