ABOUT
This workshop is aimed at potters wanting to expand their surface decoration knowledge. It is an exciting and comprehensive workshop covering all the different techniques involved with ceramic screen printing.
Participants will learn the following:
- How to screenprint onto newsprint and then transfer image onto clay
- How to use a photo-emulsion screen and print directly onto clay
- How to use a gelli pad to print onto bisqueware
- How to make your own DIY screen that is compatible with stencils
- How to layer slips and images for a textured slab
Please note: Participants will take their bisque item and clay slab home to be fired.
MATERIALS SUPPLIED
- 1 DIY frame;
- 1 Screenprinting stencil;
- bisque item;
- clay slab;
- newsprint;
- underglazes and slips
