August Soup Day Textile Workshops

Cold winter months beckon us to gather and connect over hot soup and enriching crafts and textile workshops.

Join the Cape Guild of Weavers on Saturday the 19th for a hearty winter warmer event at SASNEV.

This year's annual August Soup Day is themed 'narrow-minded' - a playful comment at how closed off we can become during the hibernating months while alluding to the type. of workshops that will be on offer - namely all things that require little space or are hyper detail-oriented. Coincidentally they're also all crafts suitable for couches and blankets!

Choose from a cozy selection of vintage, funky, and innovative workshops, or brush up on some practical weaving know-how.

As is custom on our annual August soup day, we will be offering a variety of soups (many vegetarian) cooked by the ladies and gents of the guild to accompany our workshop sessions.

Be sure to purchase an additional soup ticket if you'd like to share a meal with the merry gang of crafters.
