Solar PV with Argon Poorun
Argon Poorun works as a senior analyst in Energy Services at the GreenCape (GC) Sector Development Agency based in Cape Town, South Africa. He is part of the GC energy team, which operates at the interface between business, government and academia to identify and remove barriers to economically viable green infrastructure solutions. His focus areas include public sector policy support – embedded generation frameworks, tariff design, wheeling arrangements, facilitating access to appropriate finance, sector networking, matchmaking and sharing market intelligence on key developments and investment opportunities across the embedded generation, energy efficiency and storage sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Degree in Sustainable Development Management and Planning from Stellenbosch University.
Addressing the topic of Water is Nkululeko Mabila
Nkululeko Mabila is a Senior Water Sector Analyst at GreenCape Sector Development Agency based in Cape Town, South Africa. His role predominantly builds and maintains key relationships between actors across the water value chain, growing understanding of the space, identifying and unlocking investment barriers, and, most importantly, providing key industry players with valuable and objective market insights. He holds an MSc Hydrology degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His interests and passion include but are not limited to, sustainable development, analytical hydrology, green economy and water policy development.
