BNC#6 - The 2024 BizNews Conference
Tue Mar 12, 09:00 - Thu Mar 14, 18:00
Hermanus Municipal Auditorium
ABOUT
The sixth BizNews Conference, BNC#6, is to be held in Hermanus from March 12 to 14, 2024. The event has been moved from the Drakensberg to the Municipal precinct of the magnificent Western Cape resort town of Hermanus. The venue is within walking distance of plentiful accommodation, the sea and excellent restaurants.
For the first time, delegates will have an option for part of the programme, with a total of 29 keynote speakers gracing the event. Those who have confirmed (see below) include iconic business and political leaders - and some of the country's most respected investment professionals.
Plenary sessions for the 350 delegates will be held in a specially built structure that will comfortably accommodate them all. The adjacent Hermanus Municipal Auditorium (capacity: 200) is being used as an alternative option for part of the programme and is also the venue for the 'nightcap' discussions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
As with the previous five events, the 2024 BizNews Conference is designed to provide an excellent opportunity for members of the BizNews community to interact directly with the keynote speakers; old (and new) friends from BNC and to engage with members of the BizNews team.
The event begins on Tuesday, March 12, with the opening keynote delivered at 1 p.m. Registration is at the venue from 9 a.m.
Each keynote is allocated an hour broken down into three equal segments - the first 30 minutes from the podium, the following 15 minutes interview style with BizNews founder Alec Hogg, and in the final 15 minutes, the keynote speaker answers questions posed by those in attendance.
For the first time, during part of the conference, participants can choose between two simultaneous events. The second venue, where the nightcaps will be held, is a short walk from the plenaries. The nightcaps have been timed to ensure delegates can sample the dinner menus at many excellent restaurants in Hermanus.
The conference ticket price includes refreshments and lunch (and VAT). Accommodation and participation in the David Carte Memorial Golf trophy (Monday 11th, Hermanus Golf Club), where partners are randomly drawn, are for the delegate's own account. Paid-up delegates will be sent details of recommended accommodation and how to participate in the golf and other leisure events.
