KELP COOKING CLASS & DINNER
Thursday 15 February
4pm - 7pm
Join us for an immersive, interactive and fun afternoon expertly guided by the Veld and Sea team, introducing kelp seaweed as a sustainable and delicious ingredient to add to your cooking. This underwater sea vegetable is nutrient dense, offers the magical fifth flavour of umami and is abundant along our coastlines.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
This cooking class will introduce you to some science behind the lifecycle and flavour of kelp, we'll discuss suitable and safe foraging practises and share tips and tricks on how to harvest, process, preserve and store your ocean bounty. Together as a group we will be learning and exploring the different ways to use kelp and how to make:
· Kelp ravioli
· Kelp lasagna
· Kelp bulb cooking
After the cooking session, we will enjoy these delicious creations at an early dinner in the Glasshouse.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
This afternoon workshop includes interactive cooking sessions, a shared table vegetarian meal with a kelp inspired dessert, a glass of local wine.
A beautiful follow up recipe PDF booklet and a seaweed gift.
Drinks are not included, you are welcome to bring along your own drink of choice to enjoy with your meal.
